Happy Monday!  I felt like I needed a second newsletter to share all the other fun stuff you wanted to know about my trip - outfits, tips, etc.  Some of this is repeat info from other newsletters.

Let’s talk travel wardrobe.  I am no fashionista, but since you asked, I will share deets!

Because it was so hot, I focused on lightweight dresses and skirts.  I had a couple dressier outfits for our solo trip to Amalfi, but everything else was less fancy.

I also like to travel light, especially with shoes which take up a lot of space.

Hubs and I each brought a roller bag, plus one garment bag to share.  I still maintain that this L/Uniform tote bag is amazing and fits SO MUCH. I use that as my personal item on the plane. It only has one pocket, but I use a lot of pouches to keep organized, so this suits me fine. I’m sure you guys know what to bring on a flight, so I’ll spare you the contents of my pouches (or maybe I’ll do another newsletter about this), but I still bring a mask with me just in case someone seated close to me is obviously sick.

My travel outfits for long haul flights are always the same - in the warmer months I wear these Athleta pants and the cooler months I wear these Frame stretch jeans which can also be worn out with any top that covers the waistband. I always bring layers for the plane because you never know if it’s going to be too hot or too cold.

I brought one small cross-body bag purse (I have an older version in black leather and wicker) for dinners and during the day I used a Lululemon fanny pack.  I had no interest in getting pickpocketed.  Along the same lines, I did not bring much jewelry.

I wore these New Balance in black on the plane which doubled as sneakers I could wear with outfits as well as workouts (I only worked out at our hotel in Amalfi) and on our bike outing in Tuscany.

I brought these white leather sneakers which I wore every day for site-seeing and sometimes to casual dinners. Always break in your shoes or sneakers before a trip.  I also always bring band-aids in my fanny pack too just in case.

I had one pair of nude flipflops for the pool and beach and doubled as slippers in the villa.

One pair of comfortable flat black sandals to go with all dressy things and my splurge sandals of course. I also own these sandals which I did not bring but they are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.  Still love them.

I received a lot of compliments on this Alemais dress which felt very Italian-La Dolce Vita.

I wore this Zimmermann t-shirt with a long floral silk skirt.  Skirt is last season La Prestic Ouiston.

I am getting A LOT of wear from this Cos top and this parachute one.

It was too hot to wear leggings to work out or for biking, so I brought a couple skorts which worked out perfectly.

I also travel with all my supplements, matcha packets, and my Visp. It’s easy to find plant milks abroad.

For international travel, don’t forget your adapters.  It’s good to have some local currency if you are staying in a hotel or need to give tips.  Otherwise, Apple Pay and credit cards in your phone digital wallet are a safe way to go.

If you are renting cars abroad, many (not all) rental companies will require you to have an international driving permit.  We got this very easily and quickly at our local AAA office.

My family and I have Clear, TSA Pre-check, and Global Entry.  I highly recommend all of these if you travel a lot. My mother found this program called Mobile Passport Control for my sisters instead of Global Entry, and they got through customs instantly!

When we were in Amalfi, we ate a lot of Pizza Nerano and Pasta Nerano, which contain fried zucchini. Hubs and I duplicated Pizza Nerano on Instagram a couple weeks ago and then I threw together this really quick Zucchini Quesadilla which we cannot stop making. I tried freezing some leftover fresh mozzarella from Eataly (right in the container with the water) and it froze beautifully!
