Happy Monday and Happy Holiday Week!

Here are some new fun finds that came on my radar in June. If you’re looking for my new hyper-fixation high protein breakfast, that is under the section for paid subscribers below.

FOOD-ISH

Cocktail of the month (or entire summer): 1 part Grapefruit juice, 1 part Amaro Nonnino or Amaro Angeleno, over ice, top off with sparkling water (for a mocktail, use Lyre's non-alcoholic Italian Orange as a substitute for amaro).

My girlfriend just sent me this image from her trip to Portugal last month and I thought it was the prettiest way to serve citrus! See this post for how to cut citrus. Saving as inspo for my next brunch.

My friend, Brittany, sent me her new protein powder Everest Essential. What I love about this product is that it does not contain chemicals or artificial flavors, and tastes great with just water! It’s an ideal juice/soda replacement if you want extra protein but don’t want to have a whole smoothie or shake. The little packets are good for kids or for when traveling. I made mine with sparkling water and ice and it was yummy and refreshing. This is NOT sponsored. I think it’s a great product!

If you know me, you know I am OBSESSED with fried crispy onions…but they are impossible to find in grocery stores when it is not Thanksgiving time. I am SO happy I discovered that Sadaf, one of my favorite brands, has fried onions year-round for purchase! I even found them on Amazon! We are adding them to Salmorejo, salads, omelets, avocado toast, bowls, and more.

I saw these breakfast radish flowers from @eat___sunny on IG and they are too cute! I will be making them as part of my crudités plates for the entire summer.

BEAUTY

The Prose Hair Towel Wrap has been a game-changer for me. It is the perfect size and the microfiber towel dries hair quickly. Tip: For days you don’t want to wash your hair, wrap the towel around your hair before you jump in the shower! Keeps your hair dry but it isn’t so big that it interferes with washing your bod.

The Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is the perfect sunscreen - doesn’t leave any streaks, is not too goopy, scentless - checks all the boxes. I have one at all times in my pickleball bag for reapplying when on the court.

Two beauty products my assistant, Shira, is loving this month and introduced to me:

“My sister just introduced me to the Rare Beauty Always An Optimist 4-in-1 Prime & Set Mist - it works wonders as a primer and/or finishing spray. I have dry skin and it helps give me that extra boost of hydration.

I can’t live without a good lip liner and ever since I purchased the Kosas Hotliner Hyaluronic Acid Contouring Lip Liner last month, it is the only one I am reaching for. I find it to be really long-lasting but also blendable - it gives a ‘your lips but better’ look. I also LOVE that it comes with a mini brush on the back for blending any harsh line.”

Whipped Fluffy High Protein Bowl

This is my current breakfast obsession. My daughter taught me how to make it. It is high in protein, fiber, and it is high-volume and keeps me very full. I almost feel like I’m eating dessert! This week I am including this recipe in Even More Musings which is an extension of my weekly newsletter, Monday Musings. My newsletter is a sponsor-free zone and is fully supported by readers like you. Consider becoming a paid subscriber to get Even More Musings! Each week, I share my tips and tricks along with a new recipe.
