Things I'm Loving Right Now š
Hello Friends!Ā šĀ
Happy Monday!Ā Once again, thank you for your feedback. Surprisingly (to me), I was overwhelmed with requests to continue with the email system that I currently have in place - when something new is posted on the website, I send out an email. Many of you appreciate being reminded to look at the dinner planner on Saturday mornings before you do your grocery shopping for the week. Noted!
I am currently looking for someone local to Manhattan Beach to help me a few hours a week with TikTok and miscellaneous content creation. I want to produce valuable content on TikTok, but I need another set of hands. If you or someone you know is OBSESSED with TikTok and understands social media and my brand, please have them reach out to me directly via email pamelasalzman@gmail.com. Thanks!Ā
Thereās no theme this week other than a few things that I am currently loving (none of this is sponsored):
This Peter Attia podcastĀ with Arthur Brooks, Ph.D. called āThe Science of Happiness.ā Iāve been listening to Peter Attia for years. Some of his guests and conversations go over my head (a little science-y), but this was a gem. Iāve listened to Albert Brooks on other podcasts and he really resonates with me at this time in my life.
My son used to be addicted to NutellaĀ until he finally listened to me and acknowledged it was really low-quality.Ā I just introduced him to a high-quality NutellaĀ substitute by Spread the Love, and he is a convert!
I have been using O Olive Oil and VinegarsĀ for so many years, and when my daughter had to go on a SIBO diet for her gut, we tried theirĀ Roasted Garlic Olive OilĀ for the first time. Holy moly!Ā Itās so good and adds so much flavor to sauteed veggies, cauliflower rice, rubbed on fish and chicken, and so much more. Then I tried their Meyer Lemon Olive Oil - amazing, and a few of their speciality vinegars and I really noticed a difference in my vinaigrettes. I buy at Whole Foods.
My friend Candace Nelson, the founder of Sprinkles,Ā has written a new book calledĀ Sweet Success: A Simple Recipe to Turn your Passion into Profit. In it, she shares personal stories from building her beloved cupcake brand and gives readers the confidence and actionable tools to bring their business dreams to life. I am constantly leaning on Candace for business advice because she is always so wise!Ā Sweet Success comes out November 8 and is the ideal holiday gift for the entrepre-curious or small business owner in your life. When you preorderĀ here, you get instant access to CandaceāsĀ Pie Pop UpĀ and Cookie E-book to kickstart your holiday baking.
I drink both matcha and coffee,Ā sometimes both on the same day!Ā Iāve already discussed my favorite matcha brand and my routine. Letās have some coffee talk. There are is a lot of discussion about the benefits of coffee, but also the negatives if you choose low-quality coffee. I am not going to pretend I know all the brands or that I am some expert, BUT I am going to encourage you to buy organic coffee, especially if you drink it every day. It is heavily sprayed otherwise. I tried the organic coffee from Costco, Thrive Market, and Purity Coffee and I loved all three. A few of my friends have been drinking Kion and love it.
Next, I thought about my coffee maker and how the hot water passes through plastic,Ā which we know is a no-no. Again, once in a while, no big deal.Ā When itās something you do every day, pay attention.Ā Hubs and I bought aĀ Chemex glass coffee āmakerāĀ and although it takes some getting used to (you manually pour hot water over the ground coffee), I feel much better about not having plastic in my coffee.
For those who missed it, hereās the recipe for the German Apple Pancake.Ā Itās fabulous!
xx, Pamela
