I’m always looking for different hostess gifts whether for dinner parties or summer weekends away. These have come on my radar recently:
My friend Catherine gave me this beautiful Noble Isle candle and I love it. It is understated and smells nice, but not too strong and it has a metal lid which is perfect for extinguishing the candle. It also matches my powder room wallpaper perfectly!
A nice bottle of wine or booze is nice if your hosts drink alcohol. I don’t drink much at all, but I do love a cocktail made with amaro, a bitter Italian liquor. Amaro Nonino and Amaro Angeleno are 2 favorites. Although, is it just me, or does every other cocktail seem to contain Lillet Blanc right now?
If your hosts are into mocktails, I really like the mixers from Aplos and Lyres. My friend Chrissy brought over some bottled craft cocktails from Curious and I loved “No. 3.”
I think this pickleball set from Nettie is a great gift for a family who plays.
We always had separate knives for steak and heavier cuts of meat. These steak knives from Misen are beautiful and great quality.
We love playing games after dinner with the kids and our friends. Mark & Graham has some chic sets.
A nice bottle of olive oil is always welcome in my kitchen. I love these oils from Brightland, especially the chili oil.
I was recently gifted a box of Primavera Farms avocados and I thought “this is the loveliest gift!”
Look out for Tenerelli Farms Peaches when they are in season. A box of those is an amazing gift.
A thoughtful gift doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Fresh cut flowers from your garden in a wide-mouth canning jar would be so nice. As would produce from your garden in a basket with a recipe or two on how to cook it. Or pull together some salad ingredients and make my Everyday Salad Dressing #2. I have also made quick breads or cakes and gifted them in a pretty loaf pan or cake stand.

Great list - thank you!!
