Happy Monday! To remind, you can leave comments or questions on this thread. Scroll to the bottom to see where.
To anyone observing the Jewish holiday today, I hope you have an easy fast. We are hosting about 20 people tonight to break the fast. You can check out this dinner planner for my menu for tonight.
Re: the spanakopita recipe on my site which was shared with me by my friend’s mother who is Greek, I had some people on Instagram comment that they always use olive oil in between the sheets of phyllo. I tried it and it turned out great! I adjusted the recipe on my site to reflect another option.
To make things easy, I purchased these pre-folded high quality napkins for the buffet. There is a pocket to insert flatware.
I received a lot of questions about my ceramic bud vases after a recent dinner party and unfortunately they are no longer sold. I found something similar here which I would mix with these.
We tried a new bar called Midday Squares (seen on my friend @jennyjiles IG) recently and we loved it! Then I had a massive response on IG about the cookie dough being the best flavor so I ordered it and will try it soon. But I also wondered, why am I the last to know?? LOL
I am trying to get into a habit of using the gua sha my daughter gave me. I think it does have a positive effect on my face in terms of reducing bloating and promoting contouring. I also noticed once after using it, that my headache disappeared. Interesting! I have a gua sha by Primally Pure and one by Wildling.
I gave up eating and buying cereal ages ago because I couldn’t find anything that my family liked, had decent fiber, but that also didn’t have tons of sugar. I recently discovered Seven Sundays through a friend and am pretty impressed! We tried the Oat Protein line. It’s a nice option for me on top of yogurt and berries instead of granola which is very easy for me to overeat and adds too many calories for me. My homemade granolas are great and high quality, but I can still eat a cup without thinking!
I subscribe to Elise Loehnen’s podcast, “Pulling the Thread,” and I really enjoyed this episode with Harvard psychology Professor Ellen Langer titled “Thinking Our Way to Health.”
Because of the ongoing writers’ strike, Hubs and I are digging through the archives and watching some older content. We enjoyed the 2005 movie, “The Squid and the Whale” with Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels.
As far as new content, we are up to date with “The Morning Show” with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and are loving it.

Love your Monday musings and all the info! Haven’t heard of a gua sha will check it out. And thanks for the reco on cereal - I too dislike the overly sweet taste.
Pamela - Thank you, as always, for these wonderful tips! If you like the Squid and the Whale, check out You Hurt My Feelings with Julia-Louis Dreyfus. I think you’ll like it. Have a great Break Fast!
