Mother's Day
Happy Monday!
Mother’s Day is around the corner and even though I am a believer that most of us probably have enough, no one deserves more acknowledgment than mothers. It’s time to send the card, flowers, or order the gifts. I always tell my kids I don’t want anything, which is true, but the times they have joined forces to make me breakfast or brunch were the best. Another “gift” is allowing me to choose a family activity for the morning and no complaining please. I think I will have two of the three kiddos home this year, so plus Hubs and me makes a pickleball game. Surprise! Here are some other delightful items that I love or are on my radar:
L/Uniform Tote - I get so many compliments on this tote and it fits a ton of stuff, plus fits under the seat in front on a plane. It only has one interior pocket which I use for my phone and kindle. But I am a pouch gal and keep all my stuff in zippered pouches, so that suits me just fine.
Zwilling Personal Blender - what took me so long to get a personal blender? I use this all the time now for single-serve smoothies, small quantities of dressings and dips, blended oats and more.
Staub 3-pc ceramic bakeware set - I use this set regularly, especially for entertaining. All the pieces are chic enough to use for serving, and they’re good quality and don’t chip. This set is part of a Staub Mother’s Day sale which I promoted on IG as a sponsored post. Keep in mind, I only do sponsorships with brands and products I use personally and absolutely love.
Trelle Racket Bag - I want this for Mother’s Day! It’s a cute bag for all my pickle gear.
New Balance Sneakers - my favorite sneakers ever. They are so comfortable and when I travel, they can double up as workout sneakers and walk-around-town sneakers.
Funny T-shirt - This company has a bunch of cheeky t-shirts. I especially like this one, “I am silently correcting your grammar.”
SiO Silicone Wrinkle Patches - a couple of my friends who haven’t done injections are liking these silicone patches. I’m ordering some to try for softening my fine lines. Why not?
Aloha pouches - My girlfriend gave me this waterproof pouch a few years ago and I wasn’t immediately blown away, but I soon became obsessed. It is durable, doesn’t stain and can withstand leaks and more.
Plants - We give my mother-in-law a new rose bush or plant for her garden every year for Mother’s Day and she loves it!
Storyworth is a project. It is a way for a loved one to write about memories and stories and create a keepsake book. You provide questions and the recipient, the subject of the book, writes the answers. It is recommended that the recipient answers one question a week and then after a year, submits the content to Storyworth to turn it into a book.
Gift certificates for beauty services are never wrong! Mani/pedis, facials, foot massages, body massages….no one was ever disappointed to receive one of these!
What is the best Mother’s Day gift you ever received?
