Happy Monday! To remind, you can leave comments or questions on this thread. Scroll to the bottom to see where.
Graduations may have come and gone, but many young adults may still need a few things for their new abodes, whether that be a dorm room or an apartment. I was talking about this with my summer intern, Dani, and she gave me her must-haves which some people don’t think about. I thought I would share this list with you in case you have kids or grandkids making the transition. I’ll start with dorm rooms and save the new apartment list for next time. Please feel free to add those items which your kids have found invaluable but no one mentions!
For Your Grad Going to College
Floor lamps from Target, Wayfair - reliably priced, but surprisingly durable and chic, and takes the glare out of classic overhead dorm lighting.
Compressible laundry basket - becomes basically invisible when compressed, perfect for storage and perfect for lugging to and from the laundry room.
Heat-less tea kettle - for those without access to a stove, or who just like to make tea from the comfort of their room.
Tech pouch - keeps all the cords and chargers from getting tangled or lost.
Wool cover - supports a mattress pad for extra comfort.
Bedshelfie - attaches to a bed frame and can hold up to twenty pounds, a perfect side table that doesn’t take up space.
Clear Purse for stadium games. Pick yourself up one too if you plan to visit for Family Weekend and go to a football game!
